The Gap UK x LANDLORD Collaborate on Unisex Collection

by Kristen Heinzinger

The Gap UK has teamed up with an emerging menswear designer for a unisex capsule collection, launching March 9. Ryohei Kawanishi, the creative mastermind behind menswear label LANDLORD (who we met during our UpNext competition with Samsung), has conceptualized a collection for Gap UK, available exclusively at the “I am Gap” pop-up in London’s Covent Garden. The utilitarian-inspired label, which is produced in a uniform factory run by Kawanishi’s business partner, created a 90s-esque capsule of khakis, hoodies, and tees. (Fun fact: For his debut collection for LANDLORD, Kawanishi looked to 1990s Gap style staples.) This marks the first collab for LANDLORD, which is rapidly expanding its fan base, with the likes of The Weeknd, Big Sean, A$AP Rocky, and Machine Gun Kelly wearing the designs.
