Now there’s another way to get your hands on the Dee Ocleppo Collection, as the line has just launched at Saks.com. The perennially chic Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger tells us what to expect and how pumped she is to be selling at the retail institution.
Congrats on Saks and Dee! What will customers find on the site?
We are so thrilled to launch on Saks.com this fall. We have curated a beautiful assortment of 18 different styles including both handbags and shoes.
What are some of your favorite pieces from the collection?
How can I pick a favorite? It’s like picking a favorite child, I love them all! However, I’m really excited about our Barbie Core pink heels. You’ll love them, we have the pink in some super platforms, crystals, bows, and more. I also have been wearing the Cinderella heels with our logo detail on the toe and our Satin Party Pumps, which are so chic.
What does it mean to you as a business to be working with an iconic retailer like Saks?
If you have a footwear brand, selling it at Saks is an absolute dream come true. Saks has some of the best selections of shoes in the world and I’m honored to be part of their business.
Where else are you selling?
In addition to Saks.com, we sell on Farfetch, The Webster, and via our own site, DeeOcleppo.com.
How has the business evolved over the years?
When I first started the brand, we actually launched with ultra luxury, super expensive handbags. People loved them and Beyoncé even carried them. But as the business evolved, I realized there was a void in the market for products in the same caliber of high luxury, but at a great price. This concept, coupled with my love for traveling and passion for Italian-made shoes and bags, led me to shift the business a bit. I connected with a brilliant partner in Milan with the goal to bring American women the highest level of Italian craftsmanship for shoes and bags, at an affordable price. Our shopper is so fashionable, she loves designer items and she’s thrilled that she can buy our Italian accessories for under $500.
Are you still loving life in Palm Beach? Is your house ready yet?
Tommy and I are loving Palm Beach! The town has changed a lot since COVID and actually livened up a lot. The restaurants are fantastic, we entertain at home often, [and with] the beach, the weather, the shopping…you really can’t beat it. Our new home is almost ready—you’ll have to stay tuned to get a glimpse of that soon!
What are you most looking forward to this fall?
As much as I love Palm Beach, I grew up in the North East and I lived in NYC forever, so I love fall weather and fall fashion too. We have the most fantastic and comfortable boots this season, which I’m very excited to wear when I’m in NYC and Europe. The Lyrical Boot has been a big seller for us and also our line of bouclé has done great. The fall is always really busy; Tommy and I have lots of kids and they live all over the world, so I love visiting them. It’s also my birthday and we have a really special trip planned this Thanksgiving to go to the Middle East.
