Last night, The Daily and Monica Vinader teamed up for a night of shopping at the jewelry store’s Soho digs to benefit Mary Alice Stephenson’s organization, GLAM4GOOD. Guests sipped wine and shopped Vinader’s lust-worthy baubles (we adore her bracelets!), and a portion of the proceeds from the eve benefited the women’s charity. “Any time a designer uses style and their platform to help raise awareness and wants to support GLAM4GOOD, it’s a powerful and important thing. It’s an honor to be picked as their first United States charitable partner,” Stephenson told The Daily earlier in the week on the partnership. “I love the jewelry—it’s chic and timeless. The quality is there. You can make it your own in the way you layer it, and I love the do-it-yourself aspect, that it’s not using somebody else’s words. In fashion right now, we’re seeing the appropriation of other people’s words everywhere, and they’re never credited. I love that someone can write their own message of empowerment, or they can write their own personal message to someone they care about and give it as a gift.”
Those who came out for the night included Stacy London, Sophie Elgort, George Wayne, Bibhu Mohapatra, and Grace Atwood. Stephenson’s ask for all the mods out there? “I would like to ask every Instagram model out there to be a model citizen and use their platform. We’ve started #modelforgood, and all of these people are showing off their jewelry, their food, their outfits, their boobs, their boyfriends, their vacations. Let’s show off some good. Let’s show off service. Any time you do #GLAM4GOOD, we think you should be proud of that, too.”
