Despite the downpour, a chic smattering of designers, photogs, and eds popped by Omar’s in the West Village last eve to toast Glamour’s freshly minted fashion director, Jillian Davison. Even Anna Wintour made the rounds—fittingly, given that she’d been the matchmaker behind Glamour and Davison—and the mag’s EIC, Cindi Leive, was on hostess duty.

Vogue goes inside Karlie Kloss’ gorgeous townhouse to get a look at her swanky digs. KK enlisted interior designer Nate Berkus to help her create the perfect West Village abode. “I wanted to mix and match the same way I do with fashion—wearing, say, a beautiful Saint Laurent tailored blazer with an H&M T-shirt,” Kloss tells the glossy about her decorating choices.

A night full of wool in the depths of June? Indeed! The Woolmark Company toasted Narciso Rodriguez, their brand ambassador as of late (he’s repping Merino wool, and doing so chicly, of course) with a din at Wallse in the West Village last night. The intimate mea, celebrating a campaign called “No Finer Feeling” that will bow in the fall issues brought out a klatch of EICs (W, WSJ., Glamour, and Marie Claire were all repped by their leading eds). Plus, a flood of Aussies filling the Austrian resto: after all, we’ll have you know, as we just learned last night, that a whopping 90 percent of the world’s wool is sourced from Oz. Fascinating factoid, non?

A morning jaunt, whether it’s a leisurely, pre-beach Saturday in Southampton or a busy, pre-work Tuesday on the UES, isn’t complete sans a cappuccino at Sant Ambroeus. Just ask the elegant Milan-founded spot’s fashionable regulars. The Italian original is 77 years old…and much has transpired since its birth! Dine on the tasty tale of a hautespot that feeds the fanciest crowd.
