Craig McDean shot Kate Moss for the cover of British Esquire, which is her first men’s cover in a whopping 17 years. While it isn’t our fave cover of lovely Kate, we’re delighted to see her playing with the boys again. Perhaps she’s gearing up for the massive Playboy cover that’s expected in January 2014.
Leave it up to Kate Moss and her perfectly chiseled cheekbones to steal the spotlight from every other August covergirl. The supe took to the pages of Allure to admit that she stays chic by refusing to wear sweatpants or twinset sweaters. Also, Moss’ daughter Lila strives to be just like Andy, the poor assistant in The Devil Wears Prada.
Naomi Campbell spent a little time walking in the Versace couture show in Paris over the weekend. It’s good to see the gal out and about after reading today’s Page Six item about Naomi’s probs with ex-beau Vladimir Dornin, and his relationship with mod and former The Face participant, Luo Zilin. “The desperate lies and misinformation coming from Naomi’s camp about Vlad and Luo are astounding. Naomi was working the phones, pushing to get Luo ousted. She said, “Jump,’ and [Luo’s agency] said, ‘How high?'” Juicy! The Sixers also report that Kate Moss has practically moved in with Naomi as she recovers from the split.
She’s back! Kate Moss serves as both the face and the muse in Stuart Weitzman’s gorgeous Fall campaign, shot by her pal Mario Testino. In a statement, the brand explains how she inspired them: “While Moss’s style has been inspirational and aspirational for years, her edgy aesthetic resonates now more than ever as fall runways teemed with ’90s-inspired looks reminiscent of her personal style. Since Moss was an originator of this aesthetic, Stuart Weitzman decided to use her “perfectly imperfect look†as the creative inspiration for the campaign.”
Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot shot Kate Moss for Versace’s Fall/Winter 2013 campaign and they’ve kept things under budget this year. “There’s no set, no distraction, just the provocation, glamour and attitude of our fashion,” Donatella Versace explains. Perhaps walking around nude with Versace bags covering the goods is going to be the look come Fall and we didn’t even know it.
The scintillating possibility of Ms. Moss (at least somewhat) nude, getting the full Playboy treatment, has been swirling around for so long you’ll have to forgive us for not getting in much of a tizzy about it by now. But! The rumors are legit, not just according to the supe’s coif-perfecting BFF Oribe, who spilled the beans to Refinery 29…we’ve got a big, affirmative oui from a source at Playboy that the news is true. Look out for Moss on the January 2014 cover, which marks the mag’s 60th anniversary.

We’ve been curious to hear John Galliano’s side of the story since his 2011 anti-semetic rant and he finally opens up to Ingrid Sischy in Vanity Fair’s June issue. The troubled designer reveals he’s been sober for two years after a stint at an Arizona rehab facility, and has no recollection of the incident that ended his career at Dior. The full article includes interviews with Kate Moss, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, Elton John, Anna Wintour, Jonathan Newhouse, Naomi Campbell, as well as members of the Jewish community, including Rabbi Barry Marcus, of London’s Central Synagogue, and Abe Foxman, head of the Anti-Defamation League. You can read the entire interview when VF hits stands on June 6th. Here are a few quotes from Sischy’s interview to keep you satiated until then…
Things have been a little too quiet on the Kate Moss front for our tastes. We miss the days where rumors about her wedding seemed to appear every day, or the story about her leaving it all behind to make jam. Le sigh. For now, we’ll have to settle for the recent images of her fronting Liu Jo’s Spring/Summer campaign. Inez and Vinoodh shot dear Kate, who’s also fronting Rag & Bone’s campaign once again. Busy, busy, busy…
How does Kate Moss keep her glowing visage in tip-top shape? Veggies, on the rocks. “If I wake up looking tired and puffy, I fill a sink with ice and cucumber and submerge my face,” Moss told Stylist magazine. “It tightens everything making you look and feel instantly awake. It is a bit Joan Crawford…” Whatever works!
