He’s just ordinary people…Gucci creative director Frida Giannini has designed the looks for John Legend’s international tour that kicked off last week in Belgium. The wardrobe includes both signature sartorial designs as well as bomber jackets in suede and leather. Legend’s band and back up singers will also be donning looks courtesy of Gucci. The Grammy Award winner will be playing 19 cities through August 11th when he winds things down in Tokyo, Japan.
The International Woolmark Prize has broadened its horizons this year, opening up competition to the Asian and Indian markets in places like China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Pakistan, Lebanon and the Middle East. The Prize has decades of history, including a hallowed heyday in the ’50s, and a 2012 relaunch, making this year’s competition the second consecutive round of the Woolmark’s latest iteration.
Daniella Helayel, founder and creative director of Issa London, will be exiting the company after over a dozen years at the label she launched. She will be succeeded by Blue Farrier, who’s done stints at fashion houses like ChloÃ©, Stella McCartney, Sandro, and Anya Hindmarch.
