Rarely spotted without her signature crisp, white button-down shirt, Carolina Herrera is as esteemed for her namesake label as she is for her spotless personal style. Now, in addition to her main label and the lower-priced CH Carolina Herrera line, the Venezuelan-American designer will launch a sleepwear capsule collection that fits with her style aesthetic. Nary a sweatpant or ill-fitting T are in the mix for the three-silhouette partnership with Arielle Shapiro, designer of Ari Dein.

It’s another fashion calendar shakeup! Tommy Hilfiger is moving his show to Monday, September 9th at 11 a.m. right after Carolina Herrera instead of his usual time slot on Sunday at 8 p.m. The move will bump Belstaff out of its time slot, where they have shown for the past two seasons. As a result of Hilfiger’s time shift, Belstaff will now hold a presentation and cocktail party on September 8th at 7 p.m. at The Four Seasons instead.

By the time resort hits the racks, it will most certainly be time to retire your skinny cigarette pants. This resort season is chock full of wide, sweeping palazzo pants, and chez Carolina Herrera followed suit. Let us count the ways! White flowy pants paired with a crossneck, white floral-festooned navy top; a navy floral print palazzo pant jumpsuit and wide-leg floral patterned pants paired with a striped t-shirt and a navy drawstring windbreaker style jacket. The pants were a big focus and will come in many more colorways than shown at the presentation. -
It’s wedding week! Carolina Herrera fills us in on her walk down the aisle and the advice she gave her daughters on their wedding day. What did you wear on your own wedding day?
I married when I was 17 or 18 and I wore a very pretty long white dress., that was my first wedding. When I got married the second time, I wore a short French dress in a very pale yellow with white appliqué flowers. -
Check out the full array of looks in the GALLERY! Our vote is veering towards the ever-elegant Mrs. Herrera, though those adorable pooches are chic runners-up…

Today, Gilt.com is launching a new platform for selling designer dresses called The Ultimate Dress Shop, which will permanently reside on the site. Each week, the dress shop will be tailored to a different theme and will launch with “work to cocktail” dresses. A portion of the proceeds from this week’s theme will be donated to Dress For Success, a program that helps provide appropriate work attire for low income women interviewing for or beginning new careers. Other upcoming themes include: light bright dresses, the maxi, perfect peplums, and color block.
