It’s spriiiiiiing! We always like to keep track of the comings and goings of Anna Wintour and she spent a little time in the garden on Tuesday night on a magnificent evening. The MoMA held their “Party In The Garden” event at the museum that brought out the likes of Mayor Bloomberg, Kimberly Ovitz, Rachel Roy, Jeff Koons, Tamara Mellon, and Rachel Feinstein.
Oh, happy day! The White House Correspondent’s dinner was at the Washington Hilton in D.C. over the weekend and someone we know and love got in the door. Anna Wintour was a special guest for the event, hosted by Conan O’Brien, that ribs the media and gave President Obama a chance to dust off his comedy chops.
After yesterday’s megadose of editrix wedding memories, here’s another sweet shot and vignette from the big day of a big mag name. She’s very Lucky, with an Elle-ish past. She’s like a daughter, sorta, to Anna Wintour. Plus! She’s the glossy half of a media power couple…It’s Alexis Bryan Morgan! Without further ado, a few words from Alexis on her nuptials. FYI, You might want to have tissue or two on the ready.
Anna Wintour and her trusty sunglasses gave up a night of watching 60 Minutes to get out of the house and go to the movies. The price of admission? This shot in front of the chicest step and repeat of all time at the MoMA. Anna was there to see the Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon drama Mud. Looking good, love.
Guess who nabbed the cover of L’Uomo Vogue’s April issue? None other than New York’s very own Mayor Michael Bloomberg! The Vogue brand has promoted several political figures on covers past. Michelle Obama has been the face of two U.S. Vogue covers in March 2009, and most recently, in April 2013. Of course, Anna Wintour herself was not long ago rumored to be in the running for an ambassadorship. Now the Italian men’s mag is following suit by touting this month’s glossy as a special collector’s issue dedicated to eco-sustainability and energy issues.
Michael Kors is touting a new campaign for his popular trainers. Kickstarting the new line is a video by British photog Poppy de Villeneuve, which features model du moment Karmen Pedaru. Styled by Lawren Howell, who paid her dues by working as Anna Wintour’s assistant at Vogue and later went on to work with other high profile photogs like Annie Leibovitz and Irving Penn
We spy with our little eye… Anna Wintour and Patrick Demarchelier shared a moment in Paris earlier today at the Chanel show. Anna’s in the best mood evah on Chanel day. (Can you spot Kyle Anderson and Joe Zee in this shot?) Per usual, Karl brought out an impressive front row including Jessica Chastain, Milla Jovovich, Leigh Lezark, Mario Testino, and even Jason Wu.
