Spring Refresher: jcpenney's New Collab With Joe Fresh

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Shortly after Duro Olowu‘s print-filled jcpenney domination, the department store is rolling out another cool collab this month as they partner with Joe Fresh. The jcpenney-Joe Fresh alliance will result in a fun, youthful line of summer dresses, blouses, skirts, jeans, shoes and more in the brand’s bold pops of color and punchy prints. The collection, which will be ongoing instead of a one-off capsule line, launches in jcpenney stores nationwide on March 15th. In the meantime,
a pop-up shop rolled out today in L.A., located at 8074 Melrose.

Angelos in pursuit of affordable chic can hustle over to the collab’s West Hollywood temporary outpost affordable pieces that start at just $4 and go up to $69. What’s on the rack? Sky blue and lime green skinny jeans, floral print t-shirt blouses, crocheted pencil skirts and a lime green and off-white floral print preppy trench, to name a few. While New Yorkers have been filling their closets with Joe Fresh since November 2011 and now have 10 stores to choose from, this will be the first time the Canadian-born brand will be available nationwide thanks to jcp.

A quick Joe Fresh recap, for the uninitiated: CEO and founder Joe Mimran is known for his midas touch. He founded Club Monaco in the ’80s, which was hugely profitable and is now owned by Ralph Lauren. If the success of Joe Fresh in Canada and New York is any indication, he’s set to strike gold again. How will jcp help? “It’s a significant milestone, because it makes us truly national,” said Mimran. “The ability to broaden our reach reinforces the Joe Fresh brand promise, which is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves fresh style at fresh price points.” Thus, Joe Fresh’s already palatable pricing just got even more appealing with the brand’s jcp iteration. Ready, set, shop…
