(PARIS) Last night at Le Bon Marché’s Louis Vuitton boutique, guests came out to celebrate Sofia Coppola‘s new handbag collection with the brand as well as the windows she designed to showcase the accessories. It was a packed house as guests sipping cocktails topped off with stemmed roses made their way through the display of LV goods. And it wasn’t strictly a browsing affair—some shoppers adding to their Vuitton collections in the process.
Coppola and other VIP guests like Dakota and Elle Fanning were sectioned off behind a velvet rope in the back of the store as onlookers gawked and took photos. The sisters looked a whole lot like twins in similar slip dresses and blonde tresses, Other “behind the rope” attendees included Eva Herzigova, Hailee Steinfeld, and Claire and Virginie Courtin-Clarins.
As for the windows? Fluorescent pink lights spelling out ‘Sofia Coppola’ and ‘Louis Vuitton’ hung amid a balloon-like pink heart display (formed from a bunch of smaller pink hearts) peppered with LV bags—and a faux Bambi deer, frolicking through it all. Classic Coppola. We have to wonder: What will become of Coppola’s Vuitton collabs now that her bestie Marc Jacobs took his final bow for the brand today?
