The new guard at Seventeen continues to grow: The Hearst glossy has added a number-two to the masthead. Joey Bartolomeo will join the title on February 2 as executive editor, and will report to recently-appointed EIC Michelle Tan. Bartolomeo was most recently at SELF up until May as entertainment and features director. Prior to her year and a half at SELF, Bartolomeo was a senior writer at People for five years, following a half-dozen years at Us Weekly in the same capacity.
“I’m so excited to welcome Joey to Seventeen,” Tan told The Daily. “Her wealth of experience and industry savvy make her the perfect fit for the position; I was always a big fan of her work while we were both at People, so I can’t wait to begin working together again.”
