The Scoop on Marie Claire’s “Next Big Thing”

by Kristen Heinzinger

Marie Claire is taking over Wooster Street! The Next Big Thing Concept Shop is Marie Claire’s first pop-up shop, a hands-on retail experience that combines fashion, beauty, entertainment, technology, and wellness. All transactions are cashless, courtesy of Mastercard. Plus, it’s amping up the tech factor with shoppable storefront windows and interactive fitting room mirrors by Oak Labs. Inside the shop, there are three zones: @Work, focusing on career, style, and success; @Play, a guide to fun, indoors and out; and @Peak, a wellness resource. Neiman Marcus stylists are on hand to give advice and tips on the latest selection of top designer fashion available at the store, and Clarins and Sensor Mirror Pro are teaming up for a virtual skincare mirror by MemoMi.

“Since its inception, Marie Claire has led influential and important women on the path to discovery, proving that curiosity is the best currency,” said Marie Claire vice president/publisher Nancy Berger. “We’re excited to share what’s new and what’s next, while offering New Yorkers to experience the future of shopping with our partners at Mastercard.”

The pop-up shop is open through October 12, from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm at 120 Wooster Street. This Saturday, Rebecca Minkoff is offering complimentary bag painting with the purchase of her Leo clutch. For a full schedule of fun activities, click HERE!
