Last Thursday evening, Sam Edelman and Joseph Cassell (also known as Taylor Swift and Kerry Washington’s talented stylist) hosted a select group of Hollywood’s most influential stylists at LA hotspot The Eveleigh. Together, they celebrated the brand’s SS/19 lifestyle collection, Botanical Passion – inspired by the whimsy and irreverence of feminine florals and luxe streetwear.
“Sam Edelman is one of my go-to brands for everything. From red carpet to street style, they have me covered. I pull them quite often,” Cassell told us about his relationship with the celebrity-favorite brand. “I really like being able to incorporate brands with styles that are attainable… I work with a lot of musicians and I like giving something to the fan base that they feel they can be a part of. Their craftsmanship is spot-on. So good!”
Guests included Jessica Paster, Maeve Reilly, Monty Jackson, Jennifer Rade, Chris Horan, Sophie Lopez, Warren Alfie Baker, Dani Michelle and Starworks’ Noelle Keshishian and Lisa Walker.
The Eveleigh’s enchanting garden patio was the perfect environment to bring the collection to life. Overlooking the Hollywood hills, the night began with signature botanical-inspired cocktails and a preview of Sam Edelman’s SS/19 footwear, handbags, dresses, denim and outerwear. When asked about some of his favorite styles from the new collection, Cassell highlighted the “Elita” woven bootie, the “Dierdra” slingback pump, and the “Winona” and “Rowena” western boots. “Some brands do a cowboy boot that doesn’t feel right to me, but having lived in Nashville for 25 years, I know when it’s real, and it’s real here. I can feel it.”
Later in the evening, attendees gathered for an intimate dinner where no detail was left unturned. Beautiful one-of-a-kind ceramic plates featuring Sam Edelman’s newly unveiled heritage logo and branded denim embroidered napkins paying homage to the brand’s recently-launched denim collection set the table and the scene for a truly immersive brand experience. Venice-based fashionable florist Flowerboy Project filled the room with lush florals in rich jewel tones. Twinkling candlelight created a magical atmosphere. Guests departed with their own floral arrangements created at the bespoke bouquet bar.
