We put her on our ‘Next Gen’ cover of The Daily Summer this past July, but we haven’t forgotten about IMG mod Sailor Brinkley Cook during these chillier months. We checked in with the sweet 16-year-old to see what she’s got cooking for Thanksgiving this year.

Where will you be dining for Turkey day?
This year I’ll be traveling to Peru for Thanksgiving break to see
Machu Picchu, so my dinner will be far from traditional. I’ll probably go to a nice Peruvian restaurant and order a lot of food so it feels like the Thanksgiving I usually have.

What are you thankful for this year?
My friends. I wouldn’t be the person I am right now if it weren’t for the amazing people I surround myself with.

What’s the dress code for dinner, when you’re at home?
Usually, the dress code at my house is very casual. My mom invites all of her friends over and their children, who I am close with, and everyone cooks food together in jeans and a sweater. It’s very cozy, family style.

What’s your fave thing on the plate?
Last year, I made a vegan and gluten-free macaroni and cheese that everyone loved. I also love stuffing. I don’t eat turkey, but I can definitely eat my weight in stuffing.

Do you do anything to help in the kitchen?
Yes! I love making the pies. I have the biggest sweet tooth so I have to make sure that the desserts are amazing.

Favorite float in the Macy’s Day Parade?
I love Kermit the Frog. When I was little I was in love with the Muppets and I always got so excited when he came on the TV. And I still do!

Ever watch the parade in person?
The last time I saw the Macy’s Day Parade in person was when I was a little kid and I remember being in awe of all of the massive characters. It’s very festive and everyone is happy there, which I love.

Any traditions you can’t do without?
My favorite part of Thanksgiving is when everyone at the dinner table says what they are most thankful for before we eat. I think that’s what the holiday is all about and people forget that when they get too caught up in the whole food aspect of it.
