Roberto Cavalli Confirms That He's Not A Minimalist

by The Daily Front Row

How does Roberto Cavalli really feel about the way Americans dress? He slid some thoughts in during a talk held at Oxford University last night. “I like fashion that is different, minimalism is boring,” Cavalli explains in the least shocking sentence ever uttered. “I am a mountain in the minimalism. Fashion that is not crazy is not fashion. And what is not fashion is American.” Snap. The Italian designer seems more content with rip offs of his designs, explaining: “It used to make me angry, but they do it because I’m successful.” This is the second time he was invited to speak with students at the Oxford Union.
