(NEW YORK) We wouldn’t mind being the “other woman”, strange as that may sound, if it means joining the trio of blonde bombshells that star in The Other Woman, a film that not only made them besties on-screen, but #IRL (in real life) as well. That much was clear when Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton arrived at the Paley Center for Media last night for a cocktail reception and screening hosted by The Cinema Society with InStyle and Bobbi Brown. Literally dancing down the red carpet and hamming it up in front of photographers and reporters alike, the troupe, alongside the film’s producer, Julie Yorn, have at least one thing in common: a fantastic friendship. Their camaraderie was evident, but what spoke louder than words—and laughter—was the amazing turnout from industry cohorts and famous fans alike. Fellow actors including The Other Woman costars Taylor Kinney and Meki Saldana, were joined by Megan Hilty, Zoe Kazan, Betty Gilpin, Sahar Biniaz, Caroline Rhea, and Louisa Krause while a slew of models, namely Isabella Farrell, Lindsay Ellingson, Maryna Linchuk, Doutzen Kroes, Hannah Davis, Nicole Trufino, Sara Sampaio, and Shanina Shaik, steamed up the step-and-repeat.
were toasted among industry icons like Eva Cavalli, Pat Cleveland, Bobbi Brown, Ariel Foxman, Desiree Gruber, and Lorraine Schwartz before heading to the lower level theater for the fabulously fun premiere. Cameron Diaz reprises a fun, fearless, female lead as Carly Whitten, the other woman involved with Kate’s [played Mann] husband. The two become tangled in a love-cube when it turns out Mark [Nikolaj Coster-Waldau] is not a two-timing but three-timing cheater. Enter Amber, played by the va-va-voluptuous Upton. But in this chic-flick, directed by The Notebook’s Nick Cassavetes, rather than turn on each other, the three women bond over a revenge plot. Beachfront beauty abounds in this glamorously cast film, but there’s plenty of hunky eye candy too. Taylor Kinney plays a handsome “voice of reason” in the film. “It was a blast, it was incredible,” Kinney tells the Daily of filming alongside the dynamic trio in New York. “My first day of shooting was in the city with Cameron. I remember meeting her and, I’m not going to lie, I got really excited!” Who wouldn’t?! The crew indeed had a blast filming around the city and out on the East End in Quogue, where they fêted Kate’s 21st birthday by hitting up a gas station to pick up cupcakes and candles. The Other Woman debuts in theaters today, so round up your girls and get your tickets early. You’re going to want to see how these vixens get their vengeance on the silver screen this weekend…
