Resort 2014: Stella McCartney

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Stella McCartney
She’s done it again: a killer collection that balances playfully cheeky and effortless-looking chic? A starry turnout on a rainy Monday afternoon? Stella McCartney achieved on both counts. Let’s discuss the former, which included cool embossed takes on python (that shade of chartreuse looked especially sharp in pantsuit form). The charm of snakeskin (faux, of course) mingled with the whimsical (short of cartoonish or overly juvenile), in the form of lips and hearts. Both made appearances on a cream minidress, for example: but long sleeves and a high neckline, coupled with those girly symbols done in a flowery eyelet, kept things sophisticated. Silver or yellow kicks lent a bit of pizzazz to the whole springy package, effortless to toss on yet impeccably polished all at once.
