Reformation Is Going Plus Size

by Taylor Harris

Reformation is extending its size range, now offering up to size 22 and 3XL.

The Los Angeles cult-brand is known for it’s eco-conscious and sustainability-minded ethos but has been behind the curve (pun intended) when it comes to extended sizing. This first collection with newly inclusive sizing was designed in collaboration with plus-size model Ali Tate Cutler. Cutler took to her Instagram to celebrate the launch, writing ” This company has been an all time fave of mine because yes, their styles are freakishly cute, but also because they make their clothes sustainably and transparently. Talk about changing the fashion industry! Ever wanted to wear Ref clothing but didn’t fit? Not to worry- this line comes in extended sizes for the first time ever.”

“Last year we started receiving a lot of comments on social media and requests from customers for more inclusive sizing,” the brand said in a release. “We agree it’s unfair that we only offer clothing to a limited size range and have been working on changing this. We’re now happy to be launching a collection with more sizes (0-22). We’re super sorry we didn’t do it sooner.” And if the message wasn’t clear, the Reformation website’s landing page reads in oversized bold font: “Sorry it took us so long”.

Several pieces from the collection, which prices from $78 to $218, are already sold out. The offerings seem to emphasize shape rather than cover it up with curve-hugging wrap dresses, bustier-style crop tops, and stretchy bodysuits. Hey, girl.
