(LOS ANGELES) Before the stars stepped out on the red carpet on Sunday night for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards, several made the rounds at the myriad of tempting gifting suites and beauty lounges staged exclusively for the big weekend.
Pascal Mouawad opened up his Beverly Hills mansion for the second annual “Nivea for Men” Hospitality Suite, where Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and Taylor Armstrong felt right at home, picking out pretty Pandora Jewels charm bracelets while Jenny McCarthy and Milla Jovovich made off with a sizable stash each of glittering diamonds from Mouawad’s own collection.
“I promised my kids we’d come in just for a little bit and we had so much fun making Pandora bracelets together. They’re a nice addition to the rings I already own by the brand,” commented Richards, modeling her bangles, who admitted her jam-packed schedule was starting to get to the best of her. “Being a woman, were naturally multi-taskers…and it’s coming in handy, let me tell you! I feel like I’m juggling a lot. I’ve been working all week!”
On the beauty side, Joico’s George Papanikolas of the Andy LeCompte salon transformed Khloe Kardashian’s hair from red to brown just before the main event, and Ali Fedotwosky praised the brilliance of her stylist Mika Fowler of Gavert Atelier, who was also on hand at the suite, styling a bevy of beauties that stopped in for some last-minute pampering and, of course, plenty of Joico products.
Over at the Sofitel Hotel, Access Hollywood’s ‘Stuff You Must…’ Lounge lured stars like Jane Lynch, Neil Patrick Harris, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Gabourey Sidibe, Lisa Vanderpump, Perrey Reeves and Adrienne Malouf with a dizzying array of gratis goodies from Slim Fast 3-2-1, CVS/Pharmacy Beauty Club (Nexxus Salon Hair care, essie manicures, Maybelline New York makeup touch-ups with beauty pro Heather Currie, Crest 3D White whitening bar and more), New Balance shoes (and expert fitness advice from trainer Harley Pasternak), Netflix (a lifetime subscription!), Little Giraffe/Giraffe at Home, Pretty Ballerina flats, Wonka chocolates, Vintage Revolution denim, What Comes Around Goes Around vintage fashion, Jessica Kagan Cushman Studio jewels and plenty more!
And last but certainly not least, InStyle hosted a glamorous, relaxed and positively stress-free beauty lounge at the Four Seasons Hotel, where guests like Abigail Spencer, Izabella Miko, Kate Flannery and Cassie Scerbo were treated to OPI manicures, L’Oreal goodies, brow shaping by Damone Roberts, expert makeup touch-ups, hair styling and more.
p>“Sometimes I feel torn about wanting to take all of the free stuff they throw at us during this time of year, so I tend to avoid those swag suites. It’s lovely, but I actually want to believe in it if I’m going to take it,” confided Spencer, with an honest shrug, before carefully inspecting her flawless makeup application performed by a L’Oreal pro. “Now this, I can believe in!” she laughed.
