(NEW YORK) Ralph Lauren is returning to his old stomping grounds at 99 University Place in New York’s Greenwich Village neighborhood. The property was once the home of Ralph Lauren’s Rugby label, but shuttered in November when the company discontinued the Ivy League-inspired label. This Thursday, the space will re-open as Lauren’s second standalone Denim & Supply store in the U.S.—the first opened in April on Boston’s Newbury Street—and 14th across the globe. According to the company, the boutique spans more than 4,000-square-foot and will mimic an artist’s urban loft, featuring brick walls, worn wooden flooring, black leather furniture, and vintage concert posters.
Denim & Supply was launched in 2011 as a lower-priced Americana heritage label, appealing to the free-spirited millenial generation with a range of distressed jeans, weathered tees, and vintage-inspired pieces. Inside the University Place store, expect a complete selection of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, and premium denim.
