Happy first birthday, PORTER! Net-A-Porter’s biannual print glossy chose Natalia Vodianova as its cover gal for its anniversary issue, which hits stands this Friday. Vodianova dons Valentino and peeks through some blossoms in the Ryan McGinley-lensed shot. Inside the issue, there’s a groovy Gloria Steinem-inspired shoot snapped by Sebastian Faena, a sit-down with Hilary Swank on making a comeback, plus stories on the likes of Donna Karan, Spanx’s Sara Blakely, Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson, Björk, and Clémence Poésy. “When I look back at PORTER‘s first year, what stands out for me the most is just how many incredible women from around the world, like Natalia, have graced our pages,” Lucy Yeomans, the mag’s EIC, said in a statement. “From activists to authors, songwriters to supermodels, tech pioneers to theatre impresarios; it is these women’s unique stories that have defined our magazine’s very particular DNA–about women, by women and for women.”
