Piaget held a chic luncheon on the roof of The Nomad hotel recently to celebrate the luxury jeweler’s new collection, Possession. The new collection is meant to be worn everyday as an alternative to Piaget’s lustworthy high-end jewelry and watch collections. “Today I hope you can think of us as jewelry you can truly wear every day from a beautiful bangle bracelet to the perfect pair of earrings or a stylish ring,” said Piaget’s North American brand president, Larry Boland. “We want to create something that would feel so good on you, it feels like it’s a part of you.”
Guests included everyone from fashion scenesters like Alexa Chung, Harley Viera-Newton, Hanneli Mustaparta, Alexandra Richards, to editors, stylists, writers, and bloggers like EyeSwoon‘s Althena Calderone, The Editorialist‘s Kate Davidson Hudson, Marie Claire‘s Kyle Anderson, W‘s Amanda Weiner, Into the Gloss‘ Emily Weiss, SomethingNavy‘s Arielle Nachmani, Robert Verdi, and Harriet Mays Powell. At the luncheon, The Daily got to know Denise Porcaro, the florist behind popular floral shop Flower Girl NYC, who was recently featured on Piaget’s website (a perfect fit considering Piaget’s floral motifs). “They asked me how I give back to myself and when you are running your own business that’s super important,” said Porcaro. “It’s good to work really hard and then treat yourself when you have a good outcome. I’ve taken myself on beautiful trips or treated myself to a massage. I recently bought a Comme des Garçons wallet as a treat.” If you’ve had a really successful year, you might just treat yourself to a piece from the Piaget Possession collection.
