A Peek at Gucci Décor’s U.S. Arrival

by Kristen Heinzinger

For the Gucciphiles out there, it’s time to up your home décor game, big time. Gucci’s line of home furnishings and accessories—called Gucci Décor—is gearing up for its Bergdorf Goodman debut. BG’s iconic display of home furnishings, which lives on the seventh floor along with the Cafe, will house the collection of furniture, furnishings, small porcelain pieces, and crockery by Richard Ginori in Gucci’s signature green and white Herbarium print. A temporary installation during New York Fashion Week, a permanent shop, and two windows are also part of the mix. The arrival extends beyond the collection to the space itself, with yellow walls, a floral carpet, and five different wallpapers from the collection, decorative folding screens, a jacquard vanity seat, and wooden chairs. The second floor, which houses the ready-to-wear collection, will feature a second installation, both of which are on view from September 6th through October. Meanwhile, the windows will mix highlights from the Decor line with clothing and accessories. Shopping this space can only be equated to stepping into a Gucci campaign.
