Michael Kors is paying it forward. Over the next few years, the designer has pledged to raise millions for the United Nation’s World Food Programme (WFP). How will he fullfil the promise? Two of Kors’ (much-adored) watches are being created to benefit the charity. The unisex watches will be a part of the “Watch Hunger Stop” campaign, which will also feature Kors in a special PSA to be promoted through their social media outlets. Ever the cult bag purveyor, will Alexander Wang’s next style, whipped up in conjunction with Samsung, fare as well as his eponymous studded-bottom covetables? The collab is comprised of a bag patterned with an amalgam of prints, pulled from photos taken on the Samsung Galaxy phone by Wang’s coterie of pals. Expect the bags to hit Wang’s retail outposts come summer; the collab will also be up for sale on the designer’s website. Of course, there’s a charity component to tie the whole alliance together: proceeds will go to ArtStart. The NYC-based charity focuses on at-risk youth getting their creativity on. Halston Heritage will not be stopped! The brand announced today that three new stores are scheduled to open in the U.S. by March. Ambitious much? They’ll first be setting up a shop with a two-story, 4,400-square-foot flagship on Madison Avenue at 83rd St., followed by two 3,000 square-foot locations in Los Angeles at The Beverly Cetner and another in Troy, Michigan.
