Before she walked in Manolos, Carrie Bradshaw shopped at H&M and Forever21 just like the rest of us. It has been eight years since Carrie captured our hearts and TV screens with her quirky personality and pink tutu and now she’s back…at least her teen self is. Tonight at 8 pm EST with our cosmopolitans in hand we will live tweet and cheers to a new era of Sex and The City (one that’s bound to be more city than sex).

How are we all feeling today now that we’ve had a little time to digest Sienna Miller’s custom Erdem Globe look? If reaction on Twitter is any indication, we don’t get the impression that this number will be getting knocked off anytime soon. You hate it, you really hate it! One Tweeter posted: “I AM GAGGING AT SIENNA MILLER’S DRESS.

You betcha we loved Julianne Moore’s custom made Tom Ford dress that she went Globe trotting in last night. Timeless, sexy, and glam = one of the best looks of the event. Moore personally e-mailed Ford himself to ask him to make something for her big night. Who needs a stylist when you’ve got Gmail?

Last year at this time it was all about Rooney Mara, Rooney Mara, Rooney Mara, so it feels almost nostalgic to see her on the cover of the February issue of Vogue. Mara comments on all those red carpet moments she had while promoting her breakthrough role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: “The thing is, it’s kind of an annoying part of the job—because I’m not a model, and I don’t want to be,” she reveals to Hamish Bowles.

The 70th annual Golden Globes was a particularly boozy one, with some actors forgetting exactly what award they were presenting (ahem, Salma Hayek) and others butchering the name of the designer they were wearing (Kevin Dior, anyone?). But amidst the mayhem, many of the celebrities shined in their designer duds, and of course, others didn’t quite hit the mark. Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were dead-on with their comedy, and seemed to choose comfort on the red carpert–Poehler in a Stella McCartney black tuxedo number with cropped pants and Fey in a calf-length L’Wren Scott strapless dress with black lace. Then there was comedienne Lena Dunham, dressed in an eggplant off-the-shoulder Zac Posen gown, whose labored trek to the stage was a tad awkward. As Dunham candidly put it, “My stylist keeps telling me to pull the dress down and then shove it to the left. For some reason my breasts have a tendency to sort of shove my dress to the right and I have to fight it back to the left.†Noted.

While Hollywood and the world celebrated the Globes in L.A. on Sunday night, the party was just getting started in Italy. Calvin Klein Collection feted Italo Zucchelli’s well-received Fall ’13 men’s runway show in Milan with a hoppin’ bash at the Franco Parenti Theatre. Guests, including actor Justin Theroux and the New York Giants’ Victor Cruz, took a break from their front row duties to soak in a performance by Ellie Goulding, who performed ditties from her latest album, Halycon. Blogger, mod, and CK favorite Hanneli Mustaparta was also on hand to capture the show and party for the brand’s Tumblr page. Too much Globes today? No problemo. Photog Kevin Tachman takes you to Milano in our Gallery.

Uncork the vino! The 2013 Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winners have been revealed, and we’re guessing some serious rounds of libations are in order. Tome, the NYC-based brainchild of stylist Ryan Lobo and former Derek Lam design director Ramon Martin, took home top honors for women’s design while Ian Velardi, purveyor of neo-Americano menswear, scooped up best men’s design. Meanwhile, Cornell-educated Susan Woo scored kudos for sustainable design, and Deborah Pagani, known for her deco-rock baubles, secured the win for accessories design. Each winner will receive a $25,000 grant to use towards a New York Fashion Week presentation in February.

Those campaigns keep rolling in the door…David Sims shot the Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer campaign featuring models Julia Nobis and Irina Nikolaev. Look for the ads to start running worldwide in March. According to team Proenza: “The series of images explore key themes presented in the collection – the idea of random juxtapositions and collage. The visuals are composed of abstract images contrasted with portraits of (the) models.” We’re digging it.
