Jason Wu’s Instagram tells us he’s been up to more than wedding planning (in case you missed it, he got hitched to longtime boyfriend Gustavo Rangel over the weekend). On his personal account, the designer leads followers to @greyjasonwu, where he gives a taste of his latest project, a sister label called Grey Jason Wu.
The collection will address “the needs of women who look for a beautiful, seasonless wardrobe that is neither to edgy or sweet,” and will embody a “sense of relaxed sophistication with thoughtful details,” one caption reads. He’s planning a variety of collaborations, too, first with artist Hunt Slonem. Wu will translate Slonem’s famous bunnies into “printed chiffon, a multi-colored jacquard, and embroidery on knitwear” (pictured bottom right). The label emerged from “his desire to dress his friends” and is “inspired by their dynamic personal style,” he writes in another caption. Seeing how Wu has some of the chicest pals around, we’re eager to see what’s to come.
