A Night In The Clouds

“I’ve never seen her in person, but now I get why people say she’s pretty,” one iPad-wielding publicist said to another just after Kristen Stewart breezed by.  Last night, Omar’s, the Greenwich Village club house of a restaurant infamous to everyone but truly known by few, played host to Stewart and a coterie of cool kids to celebrate her role in Clouds of Sils Maria alongside Juliette Binoche and Chloe Grace Moretz. Sadly, Moretz was a no-show, but The Cinema Society, Moncler, and W Magazine event welcomed Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, Cory Bond, Dakota Fanning, and Sharon Stone for Lillet cocktails at the subterranean spot.
Whitney Fairchild and Daniel Benedict sat side by side snacking and awaiting the return of Stewart, who stepped outside into the back alley for a smoke. Stewart, sporting a black beanie, then held a prolonged corner tete-a-tete with legendary rocker Patti Smith. The subject of which remains a mystery, though many suspect the Stewart’s next act might involve the music biz…
