by Amir Bakian

Michael Brian is a self-taught music producer, record executive, executive producer, musician, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and owner of Crosby Management Company, the most prominent independent record label in California. A high school dropout living alone at the age of 15, Brian had to learn from others and pick what was necessary. With a little bit of luck and Aloha attitude, Brian has transformed his fortunes to become a well sought-after executive producer managing global superstars such as Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Gunna.

Michael is a strong advocate of Aloha. He lives, leads, and spreads Aloha to everyone around him. His life in Hawaii greatly influenced his living authentically and spreading friendships with Aloha the mantra. According to Michael, the best way to find Aloha within oneself is to do what makes them happy regardless of the consequences. Aloha is a state of mind and a way of being self-reflective, doing what makes you happy no matter how small it is. His favorite quote, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” challenges everyone to get going no matter how tough the situation is as it will leave them a better version of themselves. Aside from the quotes, Michael highlights the following ways to overcome challenges:

  • Mentally approach challenges.
  • Find the positive side of the obstacle.
  • Learn to pick up the pieces and move forward after a fall.
  • Value hobbies as they are essential.
  • Learn to work under pressure as good things don’t come easy.

Michael urges everyone to adopt his Leave Normal Behind (LNB) philosophies as a driving tool to conquer their different obstacles. The LNB philosophy encourages people to not being afraid of stepping outside the box, living for the truth, chasing your dreams, and spreading Aloha. He depicts ordinary as a frame of mind and the need for stepping out of the comfort zone to achieve your objectives. For success to come your way, you need to master the art of finding comfort in being uncomfortable. According to Michael, for you to get what you never had, you need to do something you have never done before. Trying and failing is part of the learning process. With the leave Normal Behind philosophies in mind, Michel believes building solid relationships with everyone is the next essential component to success. He gives the following tips for a good relationship;

  • Make everyone feel comfortable
  • Being interested in other people is the easiest way to be interesting
  • Sharing thoughts and ambitions with other persons.
  • Spending quality time with others
  • Influencing another person to believe in your vision

Communication also makes a top spot in Michael’s philosophy. He shares these tips for effective communication that will lead to great partnership:

  • Preparation before any engagement
  • Always create a Win-Win situation
  • Avoid uninterested communications.
  • Engage with facts wholeheartedly.
  • Avoid complete and emotional attachment.

To succeed in business while still spreading Aloha, Michael advises everyone not to compromise their values. He further encourages people to become a better version of themself, and things will fall into place. It’s never about the outside perception; it’s all about the inner value that can drive you to put more effort and reach ten times what you thought was possible.
