Michael Kors Makes His Debut In The Tech Realm

by Dena Silver

The latest addition to Michael Kors‘ empire is a tech-friendly one. Starting off with a range of chargers, phone charging cases, and ear buds, the designer plans to stick to his brand aesthetic by camouflaging the tech accessories to look like beauty products. But that doesn’t mean these chargers that look like lipsticks and compacts are purely pretty; the PowerCase will add up to 100 percent battery power to a phone, while the PowerMat was created in partnership with Duracell. The collection will range from $58 to $140. “The men and women who I design for are constantly on the go. They live full lives, and they need their phones to work from morning until night, breakfast to boardroom, on business trips and vacation,” Kors told WWD. The wait to scoop up these affordable accessories isn’t long: they tech-y pieces will be in Kors’ stores and on his website by the end of November, with plans to introduce a slew of newer models by early next year.
