Michael Kors and DvF Move Their NYFW Shows to Spring Studios

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Lincoln Center will be losing two designer vets at next month’s NYFW shows: Diane von Furstenberg and Michael Kors have both opted to head downtown to Spring Studios to trot out their Fall 2014 wares.

While neither designer has explained their southern moves (yet), the absence of two major names on the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week roster, according to WWD, adds to a growing list of recent changes. Last month, IMG announced tweaked show spaces, prices, and guest lists at Lincoln Center; shortly after, IMG announced its new owner, William Morris Endeavor. DvF will now show an hour later than her usual schedule spot, at 5 p.m. on February 9th, while Kors will maintain his 10 a.m. slot on February 12th. Both Kors and DvF have been presenting at Lincoln Center’s largest catwalk venue, The Theatre, since NYFW relocated from Bryant Park in September 2010.

Also slotted for a downtown catwalk jaunt in lieu of Lincoln Center? Vera Wang, who will present her collection at the Dia Center for the Arts at 11 a.m. on February 11th. Stay tuned for more venue moves as designers solidify their runway plans for the Fall 2014 collections, which kick off in exactly one month.
