Masthead Changes at Elle

by Eddie Roche

Nina Garcia is making Elle‘s masthead her own. Today, Hearst announced two major changes at the title—Emma Rosenblum has been named executive editor, and Katie Connor is joining the title as deputy editor. These hires replace replace longtime deputy editor Maggie Bullock, who recently resigned from her position and is said to be moving out of state, and Laurie Abraham, who jumped to New York as executive features editor. Rosenblum joins Elle from Bloomberg, where she was the editorial director of Bloomberg Pursuits, which folded its print property in December 2016 and is now a digital property as well as a section in the print edition of Businessweek. Previously, Rosenblum was a senior editor at Glamour, where she covered pop culture, celebrities and relationships. She began her career at New York. Connor served as deputy editor at Cosmopolitan, and was the fashion features editor at Marie Claire, where she worked closely with Garcia. She began her career at CosmoGirl. Rosenblum and Connor will assume their new roles on Monday, November 6th.
