Mario Testino Shoots Michael Kors Collection Resort/Holiday Campaigns

by Eddie Roche

Michael Kors Collection released its Resort and Holiday campaigns today, which were shot by longtime collaborator Mario Testino. Anja Rubik (another longtime Kors fave) stars in the Resort campaign. “This collection is about clothes for the slopes, the city and the beach, dressing that combines high-impact glamour and T-shirt ease,” Kors explained in a statement. “We released just a few images of the collection when we showed it to editors in June, so I’m excited that my customers are about to see something that is fresh and new.”

It’s a big month for Kors as he (and his army) focus efforts on initiatives to support Watch Hunger Stop, the brand’s campaign to fight global hunger. Once again he’s partnering with Kate Hudson to get the word out. He also launched a special activity tracker, which will retail for $145 at Michael Kors stores and online. For each activity tracker sold, 100 meals will be donated to WFP. Additionally special-edition watches to support WFP will retail for $295. Kors has also designed a T-shirt, which will be given away—no purchase necessary—from October 15 to 16. Twenty-five meals will be donated to WFP for anyone wearing the shirt in a selfie with the tag #WatchHungerStop. “Hunger is a complicated problem, but the simple truth is that if we work together, we can solve it,” Kors added. “Watch Hunger Stop supports WFP’s school meals program, improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children. It’s a cause that should matter to everyone, because in the end we’re all part of the same community.”
