In the world of beauty innovation, few names rise as quickly and confidently as Mariia Khidirbekova — entrepreneur, founder of Marees Ventures LLC, and a rising expert shaping modern beauty standards in the United States. Fresh off receiving a prestigious industry award, Mariia talks about recognition, cross-cultural techniques, and the future of beauty in America.

What did you feel when you received your award in the United States?
Receiving this award in the United States was an incredibly emotional and meaningful moment for me. I felt a deep sense of gratitude and pride — not only for the recognition itself, but for the dedication and hard work behind it. For me, this acknowledgment confirmed that my commitment to innovation, elevated service culture, and professional growth truly makes an impact. And honestly, it inspired me even more. The award became a reminder that every step forward — every technique perfected, every client educated, every standard raised — moves the entire industry forward.

From your perspective, is the quality of beauty services different in the United States and Eastern Europe?
Both regions have exceptional professionals, but the philosophy behind beauty services is what truly differs.

In Eastern Europe, there’s a strong emphasis on deep technical mastery — precision, specialization, and detailed craftsmanship. Technicians often train for years to perfect very specific techniques.

In the United States, the approach is built around structured systems: licensing, hygiene standards, regulated protocols, and consistency. The U.S. beauty market is incredibly diverse and highly regulated, which creates both stability and scalability.

I wouldn’t say that one region is “better.” They are simply different — and beautifully complementary. Combining European precision with American structure allows me to offer clients a refined, safe, and deeply personalized experience.

How do you see the development of the beauty industry in America right now?
The beauty industry in America is evolving faster than ever. I see a clear shift toward personalization, technology, and transparency. Clients today are highly informed — they research techniques, check safety practices, follow global trends, and look for specialists who invest in continuous learning.

This pushes professionals to stay ahead: upgrade skills, adopt advanced tools, and innovate constantly.

I believe the future of the industry lies in a blend of individualized service, high-precision techniques, responsible use of technology, and an uncompromising focus on safety. For me, this creates an exciting opportunity not just to follow beauty trends — but to help shape them.

What beauty trends are dominating in the United States right now — and which ones do you believe are here to stay?
Right now, the U.S. is obsessed with “clean precision” — services that look effortless, but require extremely advanced technique. Clients want natural-looking results, flawless skin textures, and subtle enhancements that elevate without transforming. Minimalism is trending, but it’s high-tech minimalism.

Another major trend is personalization powered by data: customized treatments, skin analyses, tech-assisted mapping, and services tailored to genetics, lifestyle, and long-term goals.

And of course, safety is becoming a trend of its own. Clients ask about ingredients, sanitation methods, certifications, and technique transparency. It shows that the industry is shifting toward a more conscious and informed beauty culture.

I believe these trends will stay — because they’re rooted in expertise, health, and authenticity. The future of beauty in the U.S. isn’t about extremes; it’s about precision, personalization, and well-informed decisions.
