Mansur Gavriel is opening its first West Cost boutique at 8475 Melrose Place in Los Angeles late next month. The custom-designed location will feature 2,500 square feet of indoor retail space along with 1,300 square feet of outdoor space. The latter will be a fully immersive mineral and plant-filled environment and the indoor space will feature an open-aired garden and pond with exposed beams, vaulted ceilings, a skylight, an outdoor porch and a flower shop.
The brand will sell its signature handbags and shoes along with its ready-to-wear collection as well as some limited-edition ready-to-wear styles in vintage Italian fabrics. Founders Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel will also be selling hand-selected tableware, furniture, linens, glassware, and ceramics.
Plus, the store will have an adjoining restaurant called Café Flora with a menu of simple lunch dishes like tramezzini, soups, and salads created in collaboration with L.A.-based chef Scott Boggs, who also happens to be a former New Yorker. The cafe will feature both outdoor and indoor seating.
Sounds like a breath of fresh air!
