San Mateo, California native Julian Schratter is the latest male mod to answer our deeeeep questions in the latest installment of ‘Male Model Moment’s’ and reveals a love for his mama, his guilty pleasure, and his intriguing current state of mind. Let’s get to it…
What was your first modeling job ever?
Oh man..bringing me back! I was 16 and it was a swimsuit shoot and I was there for all of two hours and one shot. Definitely a shocking and wonderful experience for a 16-year-old..
How did you spend the money you made?
On a 1989 Honda Accord, which I still drive to this day.
Where are we least likely to find you?
A country concert.
Who are your best male model buddies?
Brendon Beck, Landon Falgoust, and Zach Pricer are guys I hang out with day-to-day. Through work I have made amazing friends and keep in contact with a lot of the guys.
What would we be surprised to know about you?
I have four wonderful sisters!
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Hot Cheetos and cream cheese
What scares you?
What kind of student were you in high school?
I got good grades mostly to respect my parents wishes and my teachers. I wasn’t into the schooling system and never thought I’d go the college route. I learned how to build great relationships in high school. That was the most valuable lesson.
When are you in the best mood?
When I’m with my nieces and nephews.
When are you in the worst mood?
It varies. I can get cranky though. Sometimes it takes someone to snap me out of it!
Who do you admire most in the world?
My Mom. She has been an incredible mother to me. And even post 60, she is trying new things, meeting new people, and continues to grow mentally and spiritually. I think that’s pretty admirable.
What’s your favorite smell?
Chocolate chip cookies in the oven.
What’s your greatest fear?
I would rather not say!
Where do travel to most?
Where do you think you will retire?
Wherever makes the most sense for my family. I hope it’s close to my sisters though!
What action hero is your favorite?
Batman was my guy.

Unique to you.
What sport do you suck at?
Football, amongst others.
Where do you think you’ll be in 10 years?
I used to know the answer to this question and I don’t anymore. I’m focusing on the day-to-day. I hope to have a family of my own, but who knows.
What advice would you give your 13-year-old self?
Try everything. There’s no room for an ego in life, young man.
