A bit of positive news on the creative director front: Maison Rochas has renewed the contract of its creative director of womenswear, Alessandro Dell’Acqua. The Italian-born designer has helmed his own brand since 1996, joined No21 in 2010, and was brought on to Interparfums-owned Maison Rochas in 2013. “I am proud to be part of the team and to help and connect with women in a modern and relevant way as the brand did since it was first launched,” Dell’Acqua said in a statement.
“After just a few collections, Alessandro was successful in establishing his feminine and sophisticated style within the Maison Rochas,” said Interpafrums’ chairman and co-founder, Philippe Benacin, in a statement. “In addition, his elegantly eccentric touch has contributed, and will continue to contribute, to modernizing the brand’s image an identity. We are convinced that with Alessandro, Rochas fashion brand will regain its full splendor and desirability. Pursuing the adventure with him was thus an obvious choice.”
Interparfum, which was founded in 1982, develops, manufactures, and distributes prestige perfumes and cosmetics for brands such as Montblanc, Jimmy Choo, Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, S.T. Dupont, Karl Lagerfeld, Paul Smith, Repetto, Balmain, and Coach, and also owns Lanvin fragrances in addition to Maison Rochas.
