Lisa Marie Fernandez Has Filed Suit Against Emily Ratajkowski and Her Swimwear Line Inamorata

Emily Ratajkowski and her new swim line Inamorata are being sued by swimwear designer Lisa Marie Fernandez for copying her iconic “Poppy” maillot and “Leandra” bikini top (pictured above). Inamorata’s respective “Cardiff” swimsuit and “Vulcan” top are nearly identical to Lisa Marie Fernandez’s designs and has filed suit in the federal court in New York calling for an immediate cease and desist of Inamorata’s sale of the styles, which became available for purchase on November 17, 2017.

Fernandez says she registered her designs on June 21, 2015 and that the silhouettes are key to the Lisa Marie Fernandez brand DNA.

The statement from Lisa Marie Fernandez in regards to the lawsuit also said that the designer would, “continue to seek legal action against other brands that continue to blatantly plagiarize her registered and known designs.” Watch out!
