La Vie en Ruffian: Troop Beverly Hills

by Eddie Roche

Ruffian designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais write in from the West Coast in the latest installment of La Vie en Ruffian to give us the deets on their recent party in La La Land to celebrate their latest endeavor.

Last week, in the spirit of our newly found bicoastal-ness, we decided to host a sunset manicure party at Sixty Hotel Beverly Hills to celebrate the release of our New Rapture Nail Trio with Birchbox. All of our favorite West Coast muses delightfully accepted our invitation to attend and get mani’d-up, including our hostess Lydia Hearst, plus Rose McGowan, Bar Paly, Elizabeth Stewart, Cameron Silver and George Kotsiopoulos. As guests lounged by the pool and sipped “Snosé” Spritzers made with rosé wine and 20,000-year-old Icelandic Sno Water, we entertained the crowd in our new West Coast formal attire, which consisted of tux jackets on top and our trusty Marc Jacobs bikinis on the bottom. As the sun set of the city of Angels, we headed downstairs to Caulfields where our West Coast steering committee, headed up by Dayna Zegarelli of Gypset and Paul Kincaid, hosted a private dinner for all of our most beloved Los Angelenos.

The Ruffian Rapture Collection includes three colors, Rosary, Ambrosia and Relic. Rosary was inspired by Russian jewelry of the 19th century, this rose-gold metallic
nail lacquer offers opulent glamour and a formula so smooth it’s like gold-plating your nails. Ambrosia was named after the nectar of the Greek Gods. This heavenly metallic lavender nail lacquer will have you reaching new heights. Relic was inspired by moonlight over Rome, this platinum metallic hue is a mysterious classic that will convert you forever.
