Katie Holmes Shuts Down Holmes & Yang Label

(NEW YORK) Katie Holmes has shut down her clothing label Holmes & Yang, which she founded five years ago with stylist Jeanne Yang. Ex-husband Tom Cruise reportedly introduced Holmes to Yang. A growing conflict between the two business partners was said the be the reason behind the label shuttering. Holmes and Yang live on separate coasts, with Holmes in New York and Yang in L.A., which may have also added some stress on the partnership. According to The Daily Mail, a source said the two had differences on just about everything from how to run the business to press strategies.

Despite Holmes’ star factor, Page Six reports that it was Yang who enjoyed the spotlight far more than Holmes. Purportedly, Yang had been leaking information to the press about Holmes’ divorce from Cruise. With four movies coming out this year including Days and Nights, The Giver, Miss Meadows, and Mania Days, it appears Holmes has plenty of other career-building projects to focus on these days.
