For Resort, up-and-comer Karolina Zmarlak kept it clean, polished, and sophisticated. In a simple and understated color palette, she offered up plenty of must-have pieces: a super chic graphic T shirt dress with a tassel hem, a heavy, short sleeved silk jacket, and a knit, draped jacket with a waist tie. And then there was the poncho, a vision in cream silk crepe serape with a simple black trim. It was at once geometric and loosely flowing, an improbable combination that worked very well. Also in the same color combo was a basic shift dress with stark black seams and a noir stripe encircling the waist. Another chic dress to mull over: a black and blue satin and stretch cotton dress with a bold scoopneck and boldly outlined pockets. The pockets were certainly of note as well, providing a touch of contrast on nude pants, also accenting slim black pants. Chic exercises in practicality on a collection brimming with sleek neutrals.
