Karlie Kloss, Brandon Maxwell, and Common Attend The Whitney Art Party

by Sydney Sadick

An eclectic mix of creatives kicked off this busy week of art events by dancing the night away at last eve’s annual Whitney Museum Art Party, hosted by co-chairs Karlie KlossMicaela ErlangerCommonBrandon Maxwell, and Vanity Fair‘s Michael Karl. As always, the event brought out a fashionable crowd, including Jason Biggs, Victor Cruz, Chuck Close, Maurizio Cattelan, Georgina Bloomberg, Tyson Beckford, Karrueche Tran (who just arrived from LA), RJ King, Kipton Cronkite, Wes Gordon, Timo Weiland, TK Wonder, Jennifer Fisher, Alexandra Chemla, John Targon, Scott Studenberg, Garrett Neff, Rubin Singer, Liza Voloshin, Mia Moretti, and Samantha Angelo (who wore Rubin Singer), among others.

The evening started off with a private dinner on the museum’s third floor, and post-dessert, guests headed down to the main floor where the real party was happening. The digs were transformed with holiday-esque lights and a Samsung 360-degree photo booth (which had guests waiting in line for what looked like hours), and dancing was in full-force thanks to Moretti’s DJ set. Karlie showed some moves in her black ballerina-inspired mini dress, just hours after arriving from a trip to Madrid—which we know, thanks to Snapchat—while others caught up over drinks at the bar.

Tonight is the Guggenheim International Gala…more art and partying awaits!
