Loewe’s Artful Delight
Jonathan Anderson did an excellent job of creating sculptural silhouettes out of incredibly delicate fabrics, this season at Loewe. It wasn’t just in regards to volume and proportion — Anderson also cut certain looks to create details with negative space. And rendered in such a pale color palette, it actually looked like some of the pieces were floating. Just lovely.
Thom Browne to Launch First Scent (WWD)
Thom Browne is releasing his first fragrance collection this October. The line will feature six scents, each named with his birthday — 09.27.65 — then numbed 01 through 06. “I wanted to create a collection of timeless and iconic fragrances for both men and women… a very personal collection with its central core being vetiver,” he told WWD of the line. “I do appreciate fragrances that confidently and unabashedly stand on their own, fragrances that provoke a true emotion.”
Paco Rabanne Introduces Menswear
For the first time, Julien Dossena has presented both men’s and womenswear on Paco Rabanne’s runway. The show notes name-check Pop art, but there is much more of a flower-child vibe happening, juxtaposed by slick tailoring.

Judith Leiber and Neiman Marcus Love Football
There is nothing on this earth that Judith Leiber can’t transform into a Swarovski crystalized clutch. Nothing! Not a bunch of Asparagus, not a can of PBR, not even Elle Woods’ dog bruiser in his pink chihuahua-sized hoodie, so certainly not a football. Just in time for football season, Neiman Marcus has launched an exclusive customization program around Leiber’s nifty football bags — offering fans a chance to monogram their novelty clutches, which are available in nine different color ways. Shop the selection here for $3,995 – $4,599, depending on the customization.
