The D Train premiered last night, hosted by Cinema Society, and the evening’s co-sponsor, Banana Boat, played a meta role. The film’s star, James Marsden, plays a Banana Boat spokesmodel in the the movie before connecting with co-star Jack Black to plan their high school reunion. Obviously, hijinks ensue.
The after party was held at Jimmy at The James Hotel. The weather made the rooftop pool space a perfect spot to unwind post-premiere. Jack Black kicked back with Monsieur Marsden for a Class Reunion Punch, chock full of Qui Tequila, while fellow funny man Nick Offerman joked he was just there for the gift bag. Allison Williams, Ellie Kempner, Brooke Shields, and Alan Thicke also joined in on the fun, and hung around into the wee hours before a few ambitious party-goers mustered up the energy to carry on to Paul’s Baby Grand.
