Sadie Frost’s acclaimed documentary on Twiggy is finally available to watch in the United States. Aptly titled “Twiggy,” the doc takes a comprehensive look at the life story of the British model, who was a cultural sensation and style icon in the 1960s. The doc features commentary from Paul McCartney, Dustin Hoffman, Lulu, Brooke Shields, Zandra Rhodes, and more. Now US citizens can check it out for free on Xumo Play or Plex.
Twiggy was recently in New York and celebrated the doc with a celebration at Sloane’s at The Manner Hotel in Soho. The evening welcomed Bobby Cannavale, Steve Van Zandt, Maureen Van Zandt, David Stenn, Terry Singh, Deborra-Lee Furness, Fran Drescher, Donna Karan, Nicole Miller, Iris Law, Ellen von Unwerth, Richie Akiva, Julian Schlossberg, Merryn Schlossberg, Richard Koenigsberg, Phillip Bloch, Peter Gounis, Frederick Anderson, David Stern, Norma Kamali, Sergio Farias, Kailyn Shepherd, Diana Madison, Ali Lasky, and more. Guests sipped on a selection of signature cocktails, including The Twiggy – a signature Espresso Martini crafted with Absolut Vodka, The Fashion Staple – Sloane’s signature Dirty Martini made with Absolut Vodka and The Absolut Icon – A trendy Dirty Shirley, featuring Absolut Vodka. Wine offerings included Sloane’s red and white house selection and Château Sainte Marguerite Symphonie Rosé, while Rabbit Hole Bourbon was also available by request.
Twiggy also recently received The Daily’s Style Icon award at The Fashion Media Awards during NYFW.
