Henri Bendel Turns To Al Hirschfeld For The Holidays

by The Daily Front Row

Henri Bendel is keeping the memory of artist Al Hirschfeld very much alive this holiday season, by honoring him in the store’s windows. Inside the store, customers can enjoy a first-of-its-kind installation of his works. For those of you who might need a little history lesson on Hirschfeld, he’s drawn everyone from Carol Channing to Sarah Jessica Parker to The Golden Girls, and is considered to be one of the greatest line artists of the modern era. His work appeared in The New York Times on a regular basis and he continued to work daily until his death in 2003. Bendel’s will be revealing the window on Thursday, November 14th at 6 p.m. until January 2, 2014. We’re looking forward to this one.
