Haute Hippie Resort 2015

Haute Hippie

For the jet setter with a penchant for all things boho, the latest Resort designs from Trish Wescoat Pound at Haute Hippie are perfect for packing in a suitcase and taking on the world. Filled with a sense of wanderlust and borrowing from cultures across the globe, there’s plenty to take in here. To start off, the colors set the tone, with camel, aqua, orange, and peach tied in with bold flashes of black and white, to keep the collection on the sophisticated side of things. A zebra stripe borrowed from the Serengeti adorned a few different silhouettes: a strapless jumpsuit, a pair of flowy silk harem pants, and a plunging gown. But there were plenty of other worldly prints, too, like a subtle tie dye, blue brush strokes, and a soft painting of poppies. For the Western-obsessed, there was a sandy suede topper with woven fringe and a softly-draped silhouette. Showcasing the brand’s signature style? Tailored blazers with bejeweled details and tuxedo pants with their own touch of sparkle. Plus, a relatively simple long-sleeved mini dress, save for its rounded shoulders and sequined fabric, is certainly in line with the brand’s aesthetic. For those who prefer a pared-down approach to dressing, there was a chic silk skirt with a thigh-high slit and sultry dresses, ranging from a draped black halter style to a simple white spaghetti strap option. All in all, this collection offers up the idea that the world’s your oyster, so long as you’re bedecked in Haute Hippie.
