Harper's Bazaar Introduces A Netherlands Edition

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Harper’s Bazaar is going Dutch: The international fashion glossy has announced the launch of a Netherlands-based publication that will be added to their portfolio of 29 editions. The mag’s first issue hits newsstands in September, after which the mag will roll out two more issues before the end of 2014. The mag plans to publish 10 issues in 2015. Who’s been chosen to helm this nouveau venture? Cécile Narinx has been tapped as the fresh glossy’s new editor in chief. Currently, Narinx is EIC at ELLE Netherlands, a position she’s held since 2004. Narinx has been at Dutch ELLE in various capacities since 1997.

“We are committed to bringing BAZAAR to more markets throughout Western Europe,” said Duncan Edwards, president of Hearst Magazines International, in a statement. As for the local newsstand competition? Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands will join the ranks of ELLE, Vogue, L’Officiel, and Glamour, which are already present in the Dutch market.
