Hailey Bieber is the new face of FILA

Launching today, FILA’s new global campaign not only stars one of the world’s most recognizable faces—Hailey Bieber—but also invited the supermodel to take part in the styling. Photographed by Renell Medrano, Bieber is seen in some of the lifestyle brand’s most endearing hits, some of them archival, such as sweatshirts, bucket hats, a puffer jacket, utility pants, and sneakers (her go-to stylist, Dani Michelle, was also involved in executing the ’90s-inspired direction of the campaign.) “My style is ever-evolving and FILA’s designs are timeless and the perfect complement to my everyday wardrobe,” she said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work closely with the brand to pull these iconic pieces and present them in a way that feels like a true reflection of my personal style.” Take a peek, below:

Interview’s Fall cover lands, with Nicki Minaj

For the new issue of Interview, Nicki Minaj talks about her new era with Jada Pinkett-Smith. Specifically, her journey as a new mom and her marriage to her teenage sweetheart. “Being a mother is the biggest freaking blessing on planet earth. I’m so happy that god allowed me to experience this. I’ve always loved children and I’ve always been great with children, but in the last few years I started thinking, I know it’s going to be a huge shift for me because I’m used to going wherever I want, whenever I want, and I knew having a baby was going to change all that. But I absolutely love it.” Minaj also discusses the state of hip hop right now for women—I wish there was some more singing!—and her dreams of building generational wealth for her family, as well as why she’s ready to turn her back on forcing an overly-sexual rap persona. “I don’t think the new female rappers really understand who I am. A lot of the girls that came before me, they really were those sexual beings, and I was so inspired by them. But I’m not like that, I’m more the goofy girl,” she said. Read the full feature here.

What is going on with Keith McNally and James Corden?

It all went down on Instagram yesterday, as James Corden’s name began doing the rounds online as a teaser of his new show Mammals was aired. Restaurateur Keith McNally took to his feed to share an image of the British comedy actor, calling him “a tiny Cretin of a man” and “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.” Sharing two examples, McNally (also a Briton) continued to slam Corden’s treatment of waitstaff involving his demand to “get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far” after one incident, and a recent occurrence where he yelled “You can’t do your job” to another server. After the post went viral, with people notably chiming in with their own tales of Corden interacting with staff, the 44-year-old reportedly called up McNally to personally apologize. McNally updated followers, saying: “Having fucked up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not. But….anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned.” Is the damage already done?! Twitter thinks so

Introducing Twentynine Palms; a new brand from Jared Leto & Jonathan Keren

It’s time to make your self-care routine a trippy one. Jared Leto and Jonathan Keren have teamed up to create Twentynine Palms, a vegan and cruelty-free brand inspired by the hallucinogenic beauty of the aforementioned city (aka, the gateway to Joshua Tree National Park). The comprehensive range includes everything from products for the body, hair, and skin that take their inspiration from the Mojave desert (utilizing local, anti-oxidant rich ingredients) and also items in the personal fragrance, home fragrance, and design objects categories. The brand will launch officially on October 25, with further items being rolled out through the end of the year and early 2023 and will reportedly partner with artists, architects, and designers (Gucci, that you??) in an ongoing capacity. As per a release, Leto, who is vegan and avid meditator, has always been drawn to the desert as a site of creative replenishment. Alas, he also knows he’s entering into a very crowded space when it comes to the male celebrity-backed brand category…see also: Brad Pitt, Machine Gun Kelly, Harry Styles, Pharrell, Travis Barker…so he added, “There are new brands cropping up all the time, but nothing quite like this. The intention, energy, and inspiration behind these products is totally unique”.
