Alessandro Michele sure loves a good collaboration. To celebrate the addition of knits to Gucci’s DIY personalization service, he has tapped six artists to incorporate the pieces into original artworks. The results are incredibly fun. Who knew paintings and illustrations could look so cozy?

Angela Deane placed two ghosts in the sweaters. Amber Vittoria, per her style, depicted herself and the women she descended from. Marc Burkhardt placed a tiger and a gorilla in the sweaters (personalized with a “T” and a “G” respectively). Brianda Fitz James Stuart created Renaissance-inspired illustrations, while Isabella Cotier crafted sketches of her London neighbors, and Ashley Longshore made a self-portrait. Michele and his team did an excellent job of curating this group, and showcasing such a wide variety of talent.

Gucci’s new customizable knitwear collection features three styles: a pullover, a button-down cardigan, and a zip-up bomber. What makes the pieces extra special is that instead of simply putting a patch overtop of each order, the brand is actually knitting a letter into the piece. Sweaters with a little love — just like grandma used to make! Fans can also customize sneakers, as well as the Dionysus, Sylvie, and Ophidia bags.

All of the artwork is available to view on Gucci’s Instagram. Meanwhile the DIY collection is available online and select Gucci stores.
