by Kristen Heinzinger

Fashion legend Grace Coddington will be honored with the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award for Fashion & Beauty at The Clio Awards, the international advertising, design, and communications competition. The accolade recognizes creative excellence in style, and who better than the Vogue creative director-at-large, former model, and fashion icon to take it home?

“Grace Coddington’s hard work, dedication and imagination within her career has made her name synonymous with fashion,” said Clio president Nicole Purcell in a press statement. “When selecting our Lifetime Achievement recipients each year, our goal is always to acknowledge someone who has devoted their life to furthering the creative advancement of this industry. After working in fashion for more than half a century, with no sign of stopping, Grace couldn’t be more deserving of this honor.”

In addition to lending her creative talents to Vogue, Coddington, 76, has launched a fragrance, several books, including her NYT best-selling autobiography Grace: A Memoir, and is working on an animated feature film based on one of her books, The Catwalk.

The Clios will be held on September 27 at The Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City.
